1^st MatER Meeting 

“Technology and Trends for the Recovery from Waste”

On May 15t^h – 16^th the 1^st MatER Meeting took place at the Sala dei Teatini, via Scalabrini 9 Piacenza, over “Technology and Trends for the Recovery from Waste”.

The first adition of the MatER Meeeting conference was an opportunity to update and compare experiences between universities, associations and companies who are doing research and working in the field of waste management.
Conference will be attended by professors and researchers, representatives of the business world and some of the main associations dealing with recovery of materials and energy from waste.

The two-day meeting also aims at fostering a fruitful dialogue among universities, institutions and companies operating in waste treatment and management. All this in the MatER perspective of an environmentally-friendly, resource-efficient, sustainable recovery.

The event has been organized with the scientific support of DICA (Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering) and Energy Department of the Politecnico di Milano.

The issues that will be addressed include a large series of themes of greatest relevance in the context of operational strategies and management of recovery from waste, including:

• New developments and ongoing projects;

• Thermal process and CSS;

• New technologies and processes for the recovery.;
