1. Consent to the use of personal data:

With reference to the Art. 13 of ITALIAN PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION CODE, Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003, data subject is entitled to exercise his rights as set forth in article 7, in particular to get full information regarding the data owned by the Data Controller, updating request, amendment, integration or cancellation of such data and to oppose to the use thereof in the cases provided by the Law.
The author/participant declares to have read and understood the privacy policy set forth by art. 13, Legislative Decree 196/2003 and grant the consent for the Organization Commitee of the MatER Meeting 2019 promoted by LEAP s.c.a r.l. – Laboratorio Energia e Ambiente Piacenza, for which certain data can be also collected through an online or on-site registration procedure by the MatER Staff during the event.
The personal data collected won’t be distributed externally, but will be processed and used solely by the MatER Study Center for possible further events and future activities.
Personal data for research and teaching activities may be transferred as well to other universities and research institutions, or in the context of national or international collaborations.

2. Recipients of personal data

Personal data may be processed by employees or collaborators of the Data Controller who, working under its direct authority, are appointed as responsible or authorized for data processing and are properly trained and receive specific operating instructions.
In particular, they will be processed by technical-administrative staff, researchers and professors, in relation to the different activities provided by the related data processing.

3. Processing methods

The processing of personal data will be carried out through manual, computerized and telematic means, however, suitable to guarantee their security and confidentiality.

4. Consent to the use of photographs and videos collected in occasion of the event

The author/participant has given their consent that, if within the scope of the MatER Meeting 2019 any photographs are taken by personnel allowed by the MatER Study Center which allow the identification of an author/participant , the (non-remunerated) use of those photographic images for similar events and strictly own purposes, specifically in printed advertising, Internet, social media platforms and other printed work and news articles is permitted. The author/participant agrees to the publication of the photographs and video material by the MatER Study Center for the aforementioned purposes. The author/participant agrees in particular that the photographs taken during this event will be published on the MatER Meeting 2019 website, as well as on the official channels and in the social media platforms of the MatER Study Center, of LEAP s.c.a r.l. and of the Politecnico di Milano.
There will be no use in contexts prohibited by law or which damage decorum and dignity. Posing for and use of the images for the purposes stated above are understood to be completely free of charge. Photographs and videos will be handled by the MatER Study Center in full respect of the Italian Law.
The author/participant furthermore agrees to the photographs being stored and processed in digital format by the MatER Study Center or the purposes outlined above.

5. Storage of personal data and content – Rights of the interested parties

The interested subject has the right to ask the Data Controller, pursuant to Article 16, 17, 18, 19 and 21 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the access to their personal data and correction or their cancellation or limitation of the data processing that concern him/her or to object to their processing.
Furthermore the author may as well withdraw at any time their consent to the possible use of photographs and videos, collected during the occasion of the MatER Meeting 2019, for promotional purposes by submitting an informal note to the MatER Study Center at
Upon receipt of such objection, the MatER Study Center will cease to use the photographs and/or videos in question, furthermore deleting if necessary these photos/videos, stored in digital format.
