State Key Joint Laboratory of Environment Simulation and Pollution Control, School of Environment, Tsinghua University, Beijing 100084, China
Dr. Xianlai Zeng is an Associate Professor at the School of Environment at Tsinghua University. His areas of specialization and interest include urban mining, e-waste management, resource sustainability, and circular economy. Regarding urban mining, he established the method to measure the recyclability and recycling of e-waste and developed many key pilot processes to recover metals. Regarding metal sustainability, he also established some methods to identify the sustainable utilization of metals. Nowadays, using the innovative method, he is measuring the global urban mineral (secondary resource) in terms of the reserve, reserve base, and total resource. Totally, he has published around 100 articles, patents, and books. Dr. Zeng has chaired or organized a couple of leading international meetings or workshops on resource flow and environmental management. He has established a close and strong collaboration with many leading scientists in resource and environmental sustainability.
